1and1 customer service asks for your password over the phone

As if their technical glitches were not enough, as if their terrible tech-support with representatives that hardly say anything that makes was sense not enough, the customer service people at 1and1 hosting actually ask you for your account password over the phone.

Seriously, should that even be legal?

Your blog is the only post i can find about this, and i think its the biggest bunch of bullshit ever. I got scammed into paying for a year of their mywebsite bullshit because i tried to cancel over the phone, and all that kept happening was people asking for my password. It should not be allowed, or legal, and is a HUGE security risk.

I just called 1&1 because it said I was over quota with only 10% usage, and to my dismay they asked me for my password that was to be passed on to their technical person. This is the stupidest policy I have ever heard of in the internet business.
